Searchable threads in one long post:
Alternative Software demand that RCL pay all their unpaid royalties as specified in their terminated licence agreement. Despite failing to pay as legally required, RCL attempt to deceive Roger Hulley and claim that RCL are "the good guys".
David Levy has blamed the ex-directors for contracts and games rights being removed, but this email exchange shows that the problem was simply that David Levy failed to do his job of sending out royalty reports and statements to games rights holders, and after being ignored multiple times, they withdrew their permission.

a couple of things spring to mind… 1 we have over paid Roger and we have gone to great lengths to get him paid… we can send the guy court orders and demo that we are the good guys.
I’ll dig out Rogers Contract and we can discuss tomorrow.

Our Client: Alternative Software Limited
Matter: Demand for Unpaid Royalties and Royalty Reports
We are solicitors acting for Alternative Software Limited. More specifically we are advising our client in respect of the failure of Retro Computers Limited (RCL") to adhere to its obligations under a now terminated licence agreement to distribute our client's computer games (the "Agreement"). Unless otherwise specified defined terms are as set out in the Agreement.
Under the Agreement RCL was required to make specific payments to our client and Great Ormond Street Children's Charity ("GOSH"). More particularly RCL was required to make a payment under clause 3,13) of the Agreement of 10. of the "net selling price" of the Vega plus a pro-rata payment calculated in accordance with the formula set out in the Agreement.
Under the Agreernent payments are due to be made each quarter to both our client and GOSH. A royalty report was also to be provided at the same time (the "Report"). Our client has received only two Reports and payments in respect of royalty periods ending 31/01/2016 and 31/07/2016 These Reports were inadequate as they only included details of our client's games and a total figure with no information of the number of sales or calculation of the royalty payments. No Report or payment has been made for sales from 1 August 2016 to either our client or GOSH in respect of the Agreement.
Our client has informed us that is has contacted RCL on numerous occasions requesting the details of the calculations used in the provided RePort, Reports for the subsequent quarters and payments in respect of such. Our client has not received these requested items. Accordingly our client terminated the Agreement.
Notwithstanding the termination of the Agreement payment of the royalties remain payable to both our client and GOSH and the Reports still need to be provided. Accordingly we request and require that within 14 days of the date of this letter a Report be provided to our client setting out full details of the sales of our client's software made since 1 August 2016 and the payments due to both our client and GOSH as well as a breakdown in respect of the Previously paid royalties up to 1 August 2016.
In the event that the Reports are not received and payment is not made in this period we are instructed to take further action including, without limitation, pursuing the winding up of RCL and personal action against Its directors for knowingly distributing a copyright work without permission following the termination of the Agreement.
We look forward to the swift resolution of this matter.
For the avoidance of doubt we reserve all of our client's rights in this matter.

RCL really do seem to be trying to "go for broke" here, with their lawyers now contacting them to chase over a quarter of a million pounds in unpaid fees...
